The Center for Neuroendocrine Lung Tumor Research

Jim Schulz, Executive Director

Jim Schulz, Executive Director

The Center is led by Jim Schulz. Jim is a lawyer in Washington, DC and Florida who was diagnosed with metastatic atypical lung carcinoids (Stage III) in early October, 2008.  Until revealed by a CT scan in mid-September, 2008, Jim was asymptomatic and completely unaware of the massive tumors growing inside one of his lungs.  Upon discovery of the disease, Jim decided to fight back by forming the Center for Neuroendocrine Lung Tumor Research so that - regardless of the outcome in his own case - many, many victims of the disease can benefit from the best research into its early detection, pathology, prognosis and treatment that the medical community can provide.
